My Dearest Emily and Baby Emilio,
As you well know, today marks the 13 year Anniversary
of your death and of the death of your baby boy Emilio. I would like for you to know that you are missed just as much today
as the day we found out you were gone and that we wouldn't see you again until we reach the gates of Heaven.
Your mother is still not dealing with your death
very well, but I know that you already know this, as I feel you watching us all the time.She has so much guilt over what
happened to you and the fact that she feels she should have been able to protect you and keep you safe. She also feels so
guilty because we haven't been able to find out who did this to you and to bring them to justice. No matter what I say to
her, it doesn't seem to help her. If there's any way possible for you to give her some kind of sign or some sort of comfort,
please do this for her. She has suffered so much the last 13 years just being without you.
I talked with your mother for a long time today and we
had so many good laughs at some of the memories we have of you. You were always such a stinker and always up to some sort
of mischief. We both felt much better after our talk and knew that you were sitting in Heaven having a good laugh at
us. Do you remember the letter you wrote to your Grandma Peggy one time when you were mad at her? It was so cute to go back
and read that again where you told her that although she was fat, mean, and gray haired, you still loved her as a Grandma.
You always had such a way with words. Ha! I think that is why I always felt so close to you. You were like a carbon copy
of me at that age. We were both mouthy little girls and quick to tell someone what we thought. That's probably what makes
us both so loveable.
I feel you watching us and feel your presence with me
all the time and so does your Mom. We know that you see that we are doing all we can to try to find the person(s) responsible
for taking you and Emilio away from us, but so far, no luck. You can be sure that neither of us will ever stop trying until
the day we join you in Heaven.
I know that you are happy where you are now
and especially since you are with your baby Emilio. I hate is so much and so does your Mom that we never got the chance to
meet and hold Emilio, but know that one day we will when we meet with you again.Please know that you are still loved so very
much and remembered every day we are here on this earth without you.
I have also made some wonderful friends in a group called
Peace and all the wonderful people in this group have been so great to let me talk about you and they have made you and Emilio
some of the prettiest gifts which I am adding to this page for you. Do me a favor, Emily. Tell all of the Angels of these
wonderful people, that they are loved and that their families miss them greatly. Give them each a big hug from their mothers
and fathers.
Please know that we all love you and will see you again
one day soon. Take good care of yourself and Emilio and please give your Grandpa Ralph a big hug from us in Heaven. We miss
you all so very much.
