Meet Angels Patti & Dustin Rawls-Page 11

On this page you will meet a very dear friend of mine, Patti Rawls, and her precious son Angel Dustin.

This is a very difficult page for me to make, as Patti and I were very close. I had met Patti several years ago in the support group Peace. She and I hit it off from the start and were in constant contact. She made my Angels Emily & Emilio so many beautiful gifts, which are displayed on their personal site. We seemed to always be there for one another and I was so drawn to her and her Angel Dustin.

I watched and felt the devastation and sorrow that Patti and her family went through from losing their precious son Dustin, on September 27, 2007, due to an accident with a drunk driver. Patti never fully recovered from this loss.

Then only a few years ago, Patti also lost her life from brain cancer. Patti was one of the most giving people I have ever met. Although she was in pain from losing her son Dustin, she always had time to give of herself to others that were hurting from losing their children. Even before Patti ever got sick, I dedicated a page on my nieces web site to Dustin and Patti because of all she had done to help everyone in the group and how loving and giving she was. There was just something about her that made you love her.

The thing that hurt me the most was that I didn't even know that Patti was sick, much less that she was so sick that she passed away so soon, because I was out of the group due to cancer also and am still fighting it. I know the pain and suffering that she went through and I wasn't there for her and that hurts so much.

I know that one day soon I will see her again and I also know that Heaven is now blessed with another very special Angel.

Emily & Emilio became our Angels on July 27, 1977, after Emily was abducted in San Antonio, Texas, held hostage and tortured for 13 day, until her captors finally murdered her and left her body in a field in Comal County. Emily was only 15 years old at the time and pregnant with a little boy which she intended to name Emilio.
It has been 18 years since their murder and their killer(s) have never been caught.
